Role description:
- This intern position works within Grid Market Operations at the AESO and will work with the Operations Services teams.
- The Operations Services group creates and maintains procedures and practices used by AESO personnel in performing their jobs.
- The Operations Services group is transitioning their current document management processes to Microsoft SharePoint
- This Student position will be responsible for developing and documenting the Operations Services SharePoint sites.
Main activities:
- Gathering requirements from Operations personnel as the users of the Operations SharePoint sites.
- Create, manage and document the Information Architecture (Sites, Libraries, Lists, and metadata)
- Migrate documents from file share to SharePoint (order of thousands of documents)
- Analyze the processes and create workflows and optimizations in SharePoint
- Create, manage and document SharePoint permissions, according to confidentiality rules
- Document the decisions made in regards to developments or updates of the SharePoint sites.
- Creating a developers/administrators guide
- Training future developers on how to maintain and update the Operations Services SharePoint sites.
- Creating a user guide and training users on how to use the Operations Services SharePoint sites.
- Providing other support as needed to Operations Services.
