ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

ACTIVITES:
  • Assist the restaurant manager
  • Drive and manage the restaurant team
  • Survey and ensure the operations of the bar
  • Create and maintain a good relationship with the kitchen
  • Stock control
  • Prepare the dining room and dress tables as per instruction
  • Ensure that the guest is the priority of all activities
  • Be at the absolute disposition of the guest
  • Client Relations
  • Guarantee a high standard of service
  • Maintain an exceptional dining experience
  • Correctly present, open and pour wine tableside
  • Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
  • Receive deliveries and store correctly
  • Pursue all orders
  • Extensive knowledge of all menus and specials including origin of primary products, seasonings, cooking techniques and flavours
  • Execute meat and fish carving in front of the guests
  • Assure the execution of a service in its entirety (including arrival and departure of the guests)
PREREQUISITES:
  • High standard of spoken and written English
  • 3 or more spoken languages preferred
  • Strong Management Capabilities
  • Flexible working hours subject to the demands of the business

EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hotel Management Graduate/ Culinary Degree or Higher
EXPERIENCE:
  • As least 5 years’ experience cooking in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience in luxury establishments preferred
