If you are an experienced AML Compliance Officer and if you are looking for meaningful responsibilities, you just might join a group of individuals on their mission to grow, solve complex problems and make an impact on a daily basis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the customer onboarding program, including development of risk-based procedures and documentation
- Conduct efficient daily customer onboarding
- Conduct enhanced due diligence and investigations on high risk customers
- Manage exception queues and ensure timely analysis and handling of red flags
- Oversee sanctions screening procedures and potential match alerts queues
- Prepare data-driven management reports and recommendations
- Assist with law enforcement requests, bank inquiries, and regulatory audits/examinations
- Maintain proficiency in all aspects of AML compliance
- Maintain knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues in the cryptocurrency space
- Familiarity with regulatory environment relevant to cryptocurrency
- 5+ years of experience at a fintech or other financial institution related to AML and customer onboarding
- Familiarity with using KYC/onboarding systems that are geared towards fintechs
- Experience conducting complex investigations that involve multiple sources of data
- In-depth knowledge of AML regulations
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research, communications, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to digest and analyze data and create reports on short notice
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Willingness to receive trainings and certifications as requested
- ACAMS, ACFCS, or ICA Compliance certification
- Familiarity with KYC/AML/Identity Verification providers, such as: Jumio, SumSub, GBG, Identance etc.
- Knowledge of payments industry and familiarity with different payment types
- Prior tech experience/start-up experience coupled with prior experience in traditional financial services
- Working with young, creative, and innovative team
