Organizational Setting 
The incumbent will operate under the overall supervision of the Budget Holder and the Lead Technical Officer and the direct supervision of the National Consultant on Capacity Building and Experience Capitalization/Team Leader and in close cooperation with the NPC from MAFWE, other national authorities, international experts, national and local consultants in the delivery of the duties below specified.

Technical Focus 
Livestock production, agriculture, stakeholder engagement, capacity development

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist in the effective implementation of the Farmer Field Schools (FFS) program to ensure the successful implementation of the project
  • Engage and mobilize local farmers participating in the FFS program to attend events and coordinate farm demonstrations and experiments
  • Consult with selected farmers to facilitate their integration into the FFS program.
  • Offer technical assistance to farmers dealing with any challenges arising in dairy production throughout the FFS implementation phase.
  • Support the project's Monitoring and Evaluation efforts following the guidelines provided by the International FFS specialist.
  • Undertake any other tasks as required to support the objectives of the project.
  • Provide monthly reports on activities done and time spent.
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
  • A university degree in the area of agronomy, livestock production, agriculture or another relevant field.
  • At least 3 years’ of progressively responsible professional work in the areas related to agriculture and livestock production.
  • Active driving license.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle for conducting field visits. All travel-related expenses are covered by FAO.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interactions with farmers, local government, and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including farmers, project staff, and other partners.
  • Capacity to coordinate and facilitate farm demonstrations, experiments, and other events related to the FFS program.
  • Good command of English and Montenegrin language.
