Senior Accountant in Nikšić

Scope of work:

• Plan financial operations.
• Prepare budget requirements for financing organizational units (budget).
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping (synthetic and analytical records).
• Monitor financial transactions related to projects.
• Provide support to other sectors through calculations, invoicing, and error detection and correction.
• Reconcile accounting records with actual assets and liabilities.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) for internal and external users.
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Manage bookkeeping and complete financial records for business units/companies.
• Responsible for safeguarding accounting documentation.
• Monitor financial transactions related to projects.
• Ensure accurate income and expense tracking.
• Prepare data for financial statements.
• Compile reports as needed by management.
• Prepare various reports as instructed by superiors.
• Prepare data and participate in audits and all types of controls.
• Conduct periodic and annual inventories of assets and sources of assets.
• Collaborate with clients, banks, and state institutions in line with company obligations.
• Proactively suggest improvements in finance processes and procedures.
• Familiar with and follow international accounting standards and Montenegrin regulations in accounting and auditing.
• Continuously work on professional development.
• Adhere to the ethical code of conduct, work standards, law, and other relevant regulations.
• Perform tasks in accordance with health and environmental protection standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned in accordance with the law and other regulations.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree (VII1 qualification level) in economics or similar fields.
• Knowledge in finance, accounting, analytics, and statistics.
• Passed professional exam (certified accountant-auditor).
• Preferable experience in accounting in manufacturing.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where changes are daily.
• Reliable, extremely detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
• Accuracy, timeliness, systematic approach, and responsibility are your strongest traits.
• Ready to take responsibility and complete tasks despite challenges.
• Candidates must not have a criminal record.
