About job
The Finance Control and Compliance Manager will oversee the financial operations and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements within the Real Estate, Facility Management and Leisure department. This role involves implementing and monitoring internal controls, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control:
  • Develop and implement financial control systems to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local and IFRS/IAS regulations related to real estate, facility and leisure management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the industry and communicate relevant changes to the team.
Risk Management:
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate financial and compliance risks.
  • Monitor internal controls and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and address any findings.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial control and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial and compliance objectives.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, control, and compliance, preferably in BIG4 and/or real estate or facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in risk management and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
