Provides support to the Finance Department by helping with the daily accounting tasks and financial information’s. Assists in maintaining and reconciliation accounts, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepares different financial reports and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Assists the accountants with maintaining financial records by analysing balance sheets and general ledger accounts assuring accurate and up to date records.
- With Accountants help, reconciles general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information and ensures that all transactions comply with appropriate tax regulations.
- Provides financial status information by preparing special reports and analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as requested, and ensures accuracy of financial information.
Bookkeeping Activities
- With an Accountant supervision, posting and processing journal entries.
- Assists in coordination of audits by various taxation authorities.
Systems Optimisation
- Ensures the integrity of the data held within the finance systems and the security of the related data entry processes, keeping information confidential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Desirable: University Degree in Accounting &/or Finance.
Job-Specific Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Desirable Experience of Sun Systems and Vision and Montenegrin tax compliance.
Person Specification
- Strong analytical skills in order to analyse and interpret reports accurately.
- Excellent command of MS Office suite, including Word and Excel.
- Communicates clearly and openly, sharing relevant information in an accurate and timely manner.
