ADRIATIC42, a first-class yard for the servicing, maintaining and repairing of yachts and superyachts, is a joint venture company of Drydocks World (a DP World company) and PM holding (wholly owned by investment Corporation of Dubai – ICD). ADRIATIC42 is strategically located in one of the safest natural harbors in the world; the enclosed Boka Kotorska Bay in Montenegro. Our aim is to redevelop it by employing the latest equipment and the industry’s most cost-effective new techniques and services to bring the country’s renowned sector skills to the Mediterranean/Adriatic Yacht market.
Chief Commercial Officer
We are now recruiting to put the right team in place to take this venture forward!
Subsequently an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a highly motivated Chief Commercial Officer who is responsible for marketing, business development, bidding for projects and win projects to meet the targeted revenues and profits for the company. To manage yacht, marine and logistic services as a separate business unit and achieve targeted revenues/profits.
Required qualifications, experience & skills
- University degree in Naval Architect in Marine Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or similar
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in marine industry, ship repair yard, transport, port or logistic industry
- Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Team oriented, Customer focused.
- Must be fluent in English.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop new market segments to increase company revenues
- Leads and guides commercial teams in the planning, organizing, management and follow up to win projects to meet or exceed the targeted revenues
- Leads and guides commercial teams to cost control, optimize revenue and achieve the targeted profits for the company
- Devise and manage a system for marketing the yard services to the customers, and this shall include direct marketing, appointment of brokers and agents, exhibitions, events and advertisements.
- Lead a group of professional business development team to devise strategies in securing high value projects and also strategically position the company to meet the challenges and changes in the market
- Leads and guides Business development team to follow the trends and changes of the competitors and the market to prepare the yard to face the challenges and changes in the market conditions
- Leads and guides yacht, marine and logistic team to achieve their targets or execution, revenue and profits
- Establish & ensure that the objectives set within the division are achieved by individual Department Managers
- Leads and guides commercial teams to set the price levels that are competitive in the market and also to ensure the targeted profits are achieved with the level of pricing
- Leads and guides the commercial team in commercial and contractual negotiations to secure the projects and final invoice settlements to the major projects
- Leads the commercial team to identify the risks and requirements to executing the projects from the biding stage
- Discuss and agree with the legal the critical contractual requirements and the risks that are envisaged for execution of any individual projects
- Support Project Management in negotiation with clients during the project execution
- Support Production Division in mitigating the overload situation requirements.
