Line cook
Responsibilities:
Follows and adheres to all hotel standards, procedures, and codes of conduct
Accepts all assignments from the section head, deputy head chef, and head chef
Regularly checks expiration dates on ingredients and semi-finished products
Responsible for maintaining hygiene in the area where they work
Keeps knives sharp
Cooks according to the given recipes
Performs all other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Hands over/takes over the shift from the colleague in the same position
Obliged to inform the section head if the shift was not handed over according to the prescribed standard
Responsible for the quality of dishes and products in their section
Required to taste every dish before sending it to the service area
Behaves in accordance with the group’s values, serving as a role model and example to other colleagues
Uses kitchen equipment properly and responsibly
Reports malfunctions and breakages to the section head immediately
Properly sets up the position according to section head standards
Follows kitchen opening/closing procedures
Informs the section head about the inventory status in the kitchen storage
Executes other tasks and assignments as directed by their immediate supervisor
Behaves in accordance with company values, setting an example and serving as a role model to others
Qualifications:
Acquired professional education lasting a minimum of 3 years or any other secondary education with at least 4 years of relevant kitchen work experience
At least 2 years of experience working as a cook in a professional kitchen
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the capacity to follow directions and collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors
