Food & Beverage Manager is responsible to the Executive Director.
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the Food & Beverage department line with hotel and Leading Hotels of The World brand standards, whilst coordinating employee, guest and owner expectations. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the operation of the Food and Beverage Department, to ensure that all the outlets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.
Food & Beverage Manager duties:
- He/she reports to the General Manager/Executive Director
- Responsible for the full management of the Food and Beverage operations and outlets including TerraMar Restaurant, Panorama Bar & Restaurant, Sunset Beach Bar & Room Service operation
- Managing F&B Budget, implements tactical actions and F&B sales promotions to achieve budget
- Organizes, controls, promotes and supervises the operation of the hotel F&B department and outlets;
- Manages daily operations, ensuring the quality of standards and service in F&B outlets
- Coordinate operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient and satisfying guest service
- Manages Food and Beverage employees, organizing shifts schedule and work load accordingly, employee schedules, hires new employees, managing selection process and training of F&B employees
- Manages operational F&B standards, as per LHW standards, to increase guest satisfaction
- Manages possible issues, remarks of guests, complaints and reports to the Executive Director, in order to keep customer satisfaction on the highest level and improve guest experiences and review scores
- Supervise the work of the waiters and bartenders, the quality and timeliness of the service provided
- Managing grooming standards of the employees and appearance of the uniform
- Manages Events operation, in coordination with Sales department and Kitchen department.
- Controls the operation and functioning of all devices in F&B outlets; POS terminals and similar.
- Manages the MICROS system, controls issued invoices, prices, makes necessary changes, invoice rebates, storno, managing representation bill procedures, discounts, promotions, etc.
- Manages daily closure of each hotel F&B outlet properly, prepares and issues all types of daily, periodic reports according to the hotel standards, delivers reports to finance department.
- Controls the operation and functioning of all devices in F&B outlets; POS terminals and similar.
- Managing Food and Beverage orders, purchasing and proper storage of F&B goods, controls quality of Food and Beverage gods and deadlines, organizes periodical audit; daily, weekly, monthly audits
- Managing the procurement of materials, inventory, equipment for Food & Beverage department;
- Reports to the General Manager and registers in writing all events important for functioning of F&B
- Conducts department meetings and participate hotel management meetings on request
- Responds to the General Manager/Executive Director for the proper execution of all the job description
- Apart from the jobs listed in the list of jobs and tasks, the employee undertakes to perform all other jobs and tasks that fall within the scope of work, in accordance with the regulations and standards of his profession.
Qualifications:
- Necessary previous work experience, preferably in high category 5* hotels
- Excellent knowledge of the English language is necessary, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- Necessary knowledge of working in hotel software programs, knowledge of the MICROS program
