About job:
To ensure that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statements. Assists in the building of an efficient team of employees. Oversee guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding the company’s goals
Key responsibilities:
A. Manage Food and Beverage Operation
- Supervise daily F&B operations, of a designated restaurant, bar and room service
- Ensure the quality, standards and meet the expectations of the guests daily
- Understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example
- Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing excellent service and experience
- Respond quickly and proactively to employee's concerns
- Provide a learning atmosphere with a focus on continuous improvement
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Ensure and maintain the productivity level of employees by effective scheduling of work
- Provide the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective
B. Deliver Exceptional Customer Service and Guest Satisfaction
- Provide excellent guest service
- Respond quickly and proactively to guest's concerns
- Understand The Company brand's service culture, and ensure that all team members have the same understanding
- Set service expectations for all guests internally and externally
- Take ownership of a guest complaint/problem until it is resolved, or it has been addressed by the appropriate manager or employee
- Ensure all banquet functions are up to standard and exceed guest's expectations
- Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
- Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
- Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviour
C. Budgetary control
- Maintain a positive cost management index for restaurant operations
- Manage financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plan and actions for Food and Beverage department
D.Policy & SOP Frameworks
- Draft Policies and SOPs for Food and Beverage function, ensuring effective roll-out internally and externally
- Ensure all existing policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to existing SOPs
- Ensure the existence and compliance with the relevant processes, templates and documentation
E. People Management
- Organize departmental meetings and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results
- Use all available on the job training tools to train new room attendants and provide follow-up training as necessary
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
- High School or University Degree
- Advance knowledge of MS Office suite
- Valid driver’s licence “B” category
- Full working professional proficiency in English, additional languages are a biggest asset
Job-Specific Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of food and beverage experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel property
- At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant or F&B management
- Prior people management experience
- Expertise in implementation of best practices and SOP’s
- Excellent understanding of the industry
