Oversea the operational running of the Marina Facilities, ensuring technical, legal and safety compliance. Focuses on ensuring the provision of a quality customer experience for all visitors and guests to Lustica Bay.
Your key responsibilities:
Marina Operations
- Responsible for the daily running of the Marina docks, and proper berthing allocations. Ensuring safety and maintenance requirements are met.
- Supervises the dry-docking of boats for winter storage.
- Supports the Marina Office operations by providing direction on maintenance & repair requirements in the Marina and for Marina guests.
- Ensures a positive and consistent customer experience for all Marina guests and users.
- Supervises and trains the Dock Hands and Marina maintenance staff, ensuring that they execute their duties in line with expectations and standards.
Policies and Procedures & SOPs
- Drafts SOPs for the Marina Operations, ensuring effective roll-out internally and externally.
- Assists in drafting of the Health & Safety Policies and SOPs for Marina, ensuring effective roll-out and implementation, in order to support the existence of a safety culture, including advertised processes, templates and records.
- Contributes to Policy development within the Marina Operations Department.
Health & Safety
- Ensures fire safety compliance in terms of storage of flammable materials and necessary precautions. In coordination with H&S Manager, ensures education and testing practices are undertaken for all locations and employees working in these areas.
- Ensures implementation of occupational health and safety plans for the Marina.
- Supports the planning, production of documentation and roll-out of Emergency Planning and Disaster Recovery practices for the Marina Operations Department.
Knowledge and experience required
- University Degree in Maritime or Technical/Engineering, Captain Licence
Job-Specific Experience
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marina operations or marine related works.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervising a team.
- Fluent in Montenegrin and English, both written and verbal.
