Floating Dock Operator
ADRIATIC42, a first-class yard for the servicing, maintaining and repairing of yachts and superyachts, is a joint venture company of Drydocks World (a DP World company) and PM holding (wholly owned by investment Corporation of Dubai – ICD). ADRIATIC42 is strategically located in one of the safest natural harbors in the world; the enclosed Boka Kotorska Bay in Montenegro. Our aim is to redevelop it by employing the latest equipment and the industry’s most cost-effective new techniques and services to bring the country’s renowned sector skills to the Mediterranean/Adriatic Yacht market.
We are now recruiting to put the right team in place to take this venture forward!
Subsequently an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a highly motivated Floating Dock Operator to take responsibility for the day-to-day safe operation and maintenance of the floating dock. The role involves adhering to work instructions to meet both client and yard requirements, ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
Required qualifications, experience & skills
- Secondary school
- At lease one year of relevant experience (deck officer/engine officer)
- Able to operate floating dock, able to identify breakdowns / troubleshoot
- Safety, quality and environment conscious
- Good knowledge of English
Key responsibilities:
- Keep watch on the floating dock parameters and maintain the dock within parameters.
- Monitor and carry out maintenance of the floating dock equipment.
- Follow operating procedure and instruction given by Supervision.
- Liaise with other trades when required.
- Routine check and inspection of equipment prior to start working.
- Report damage / unsafe condition to Supervision.
- Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
