POWER CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION OF CHINA LTD - DSD CRNA GORA is a branch of a leading international engineering and construction company engaged in the implementation of major infrastructure projects in Montenegro. We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and experienced Site Engineer to join our project management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site & Progress Management:
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities for civil works and structures works, e.g. earthworks, roadbases, and slope protection, bridge, culvert in the mountainous terrain.
- Monitor daily progress against the project schedule and optimize operational efficiency to maximize the limited weather windows in the northern region.
- Subcontractor Control & Coordination:
- Act as the primary on-site bridge between our international management team and local/third-party subcontractors.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors’ manpower, equipment mobilization, and execution quality, ensuring instructions are strictly followed.
- Quality Control (QC) & Documentation:
- Inspect construction steps to ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications (EN/MNE standards).
- Prepare, organize, and manage daily site logs, quality inspection records, and hidden-work documentation.
- Coordinate and assist in joint inspections with the project Supervisor for timely work acceptance.
- Measurement & Variation Data Collection:
- Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs of completed works to support monthly progress billings.
- Identify and accurately document field variations, geological changes, or unforeseen site conditions (with photographic and written evidence) to support claims.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport/Road Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in site engineering, preferably in highway, bridge, tunnel, or heavy earthwork projects.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (both written and spoken) for internal reporting and communication with project management. Fluency in Montenegrin is required to effectively communicate and manage local subcontractors and labor.
- Strong sense of responsibility, strict principle-oriented execution, and excellent conflict-resolution skills to manage subcontractors firmly.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding, open-air mountainous environments with unpredictable weather conditions.
