Assistant Front Office Manager
Position Summary:
The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Front Office department, involving tasks such as enhancing guest satisfaction, maximizing revenue, overseeing staff, and supporting strategic planning while maintaining a positive and efficient departmental environment. This position demands strong attention to detail, communication skills, a hands-on approach, and a strong focus on ensuring that quality assurance standards are met at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all duties of Front Office operations, including staff training, inter-departmental communication, and staff scheduling;
- Strives to achieve the utmost guest satisfaction and provide exceptional guest service at all times;
- Assists in maximizing company revenue in all Front Office areas;
- Organizes and supervises day-to-day Front Office operations;
- Handles guest feedback, analyzes, investigates, and offers proactive solutions to complaints;
- Maintains and upgrades the department's operational procedures;
- Supports training programs and trains staff in accordance with company standards and policies;
- In cooperation with the Front Office Manager, prepares long-term and short-term strategies, plans, budgets, and forecasts;
- Conducts initial and on-the-job training for all new hires;
- Conducts annual performance appraisals for the Front Office team;
- Maintains discipline among staff and fosters a positive atmosphere in the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Front Office Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager or similar roles, preferably in a 5-star environment;
- International experience at 5-star hotels is considered advantageous;
- Knowledge in Front Office Operations and Opera PMS;
- Excellent English and Montenegrin/Serbian communication skills both in written and spoken;
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership abilities;
- Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm and initiative;
- Ability to lead team and drive results;
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
