Job Description:
Follows and adheres to all hotel standards, procedures, and codes of conduct.
Accepts all assignments from the section head, deputy head chef, and head chef.
Regularly checks expiration dates on ingredients and semi-finished products.
Responsible for maintaining hygiene in the designated work area.
Ensures knives are properly maintained and kept sharp.
Prepares dishes according to given recipes and presentation standards.
Performs all other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Hands over or takes over the shift from the colleague in the same position.
Reports to the section head if the shift handover was not conducted according to the prescribed standard.
Ensures the quality and consistency of dishes and products in their section.
Required to taste every dish before it is sent to the service area.
Demonstrates professionalism and integrity, serving as a role model for colleagues.
Uses kitchen equipment properly and responsibly.
Immediately reports any malfunctions or breakages to the section head.
Properly sets up the workstation according to section head standards.
Follows kitchen opening and closing procedures.
Notifies the section head about inventory status in kitchen storage.
Executes additional tasks and assignments as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Acts in alignment with company values, setting an example for others through their conduct.
Qualifications:
Relevant kitchen work experience.
At least two years of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
