Artisan Baker
Reports to: Sous Chef and Executive Chef
Location: Lazure Hotel & Marina – Herceg Novi, Montenegro
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Artisan Baker to join our new boutique bakery within the Lazure Hotel & Marina complex. This is a unique opportunity to take part in shaping a high-quality, craft-driven bakery inspired by traditional techniques and modern creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handcraft a variety of boulangerie products, including classic French breads, croissants, brioche, and viennoiseries
- Develop and maintain sourdough starters and artisan doughs using long fermentation methods
- Produce a consistent range of high-quality, fresh baked goods with a focus on flavor, texture, and presentation
- Maintain high hygiene standards and ensure daily production meets demand
- Participate in developing seasonal and signature bakery items
- Collaborate with the culinary and management team to maintain product excellence and innovation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an artisan baker, preferably in a professional boulangerie or boutique bakery
- Deep knowledge of traditional baking techniques and sourdough fermentation
- Passion for hand-crafted doughs and natural ingredients
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work independently, organize production, and manage prep timelines
- Creativity and openness to contribute to a new and evolving bakery concept
- Availability for early-morning shifts and flexible working hours
