We are looking for:
Irrigation Manager
Role Purpose:
- Golf Course Irrigation Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of the complete irrigation system (pump stations, main valves, pipes, sprinklers, control units).
- Regular testing and adjustment of the system to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency of water consumption.
- Diagnostics and repair of faults in the system (electrical and hydraulic elements).
- Cooperation with the main field supervisor on the development of an irrigation plan in accordance with weather conditions, grass types and season.
- Records of water use and system performance analysis (consumption control, identification of losses, use of sensors and software).
- Coordination with contractors during the installation of new parts or system expansion.
- Training and supervision of junior level staff who assist in irrigation.
- Compliance with local regulations on water use and environmental protection.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Minimum Qualifications
- Secondary vocational education, Higher education or University degree in horticulture, agronomy, engineering or related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and plumbing.
- Category B driver's license (preferred).
- Job-Specific Experience
- Experience working with automatic irrigation systems, preferably on golf courses, sports fields or large landscapes.
- Understanding the agronomic requirements of grass for golf courses (preferable knowledge of the differences between fairway, green, rough, etc.).
- Ability to read irrigation plans and use irrigation management software (Rain Bird).
- Person Specification
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Acad).
- Category B driver's license (preferred).
- Responsibility and precision in work.
- Technical analytical approach to problem solving.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts and in outdoor conditions.
