Assistant Chief Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will help lead and support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, compliance, and high service standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and resolve all maintenance issues within the hotel
- Perform daily checks and preventive maintenance
- Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
- Diagnose and maintain mechanical equipment
- Ensure all fixtures and fittings are in safe condition, taking corrective actions when needed
- Develop, implement, and direct emergency programs
- Manage energy conservation initiatives to optimize costs
- Coordinate renovation projects, budgeting, and supervision of contractors
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and ensure staff training
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Engineering or related field
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in facilities management and team leadership
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and independently
- Knowledge of budgeting and basic accounting
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented approach
- Strong computer literacy (basic programs)
