Job Title
Head of Student Recruitment and Growth

Reporting line
Reports to the School Director and works in close alignment with Head Office.

Position context
This is a senior individual-contributor role with full accountability for student recruitment, admissions delivery, and enrolment growth. The role operates without a dedicated team and requires strong personal ownership of outcomes.

Contract type
Full-time, on-site role (daily presence at the school is required).
Remuneration includes a competitive base salary and a commission structure linked directly to additional student enrolments achieved (details shared during the recruitment process).

Role purpose
The Head of Student Recruitment and Growth is responsible for driving enrolment outcomes by owning the admissions pipeline end-to-end and executing practical, hands-on marketing activity that generates, converts, and secures qualified enquiries.
The role combines relationship-building with families, confident delivery of school tours, disciplined follow-up, and data-driven pipeline management, while ensuring alignment with Head Office brand standards, policies, and reporting expectations.

Key responsibilities

Admissions & enrolment delivery
  • Own the full admissions journey from initial enquiry through to confirmed enrolment.
  • Respond promptly to all enquiries, qualify prospective families, arrange and conduct school tours, guide applications, and support offer and enrolment decisions.
  • ead admissions meetings and tours with clarity, warmth, and confidence, supporting families through decision-making and securing clear next steps.
  • Maintain timely, professional communication across email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Coordinate onboarding steps internally to ensure a smooth transition for new families.
  • Ensure families receive accurate and consistent information regarding admissions criteria, fees, and school policies.
  • Manage all admissions contracts and documentation, securing a smooth handover of families to the financial department.
  • Develop structured parent referral initiatives
Front-facing representation & parent liaison
  • Act as the public face of the school for prospective families, providing a warm, professional and confident first impression.
  • Greet visitors and prospective families on arrival and ensure a high-quality, consistent visitor experience.
  • Lead all school tours, open days, and admissions meetings, articulating the school’s ethos, educational offering, and community clearly and credibly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective parents throughout the admissions journey, building trust and confidence in the school.
  • Maintain a visible daily presence around the school to support relationship-building and accessibility.
  • Develop and support international agent relationships
Marketing execution
  • Develop and deliver an actionable marketing plan aligned with enrolment priorities and the school calendar.
  • Execute day-to-day marketing activity that drives enquiry and conversion, including campaign coordination, content support, event promotion, community outreach, and partnership activity.
  • Support lead-generation initiatives across key channels; working knowledge of platforms such as Google Ads and email marketing tools is advantageous.
  • Coordinate basic website and content updates where required, ensuring alignment with group brand guidelines.
Pipeline tracking, reporting & optimisation
  • Maintain clear visibility of pipeline performance, including lead sources, stage progression, lead ageing, conversion rates, and forecast versus target.
  • Provide termly market intelligence reports for the School Director and Head Office, supported by insights and recommended actions.
  • Identify pipeline bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to increase conversion rates and reduce time-to-enrolment.
  • Conduct parent exit interviews and retention analysis
Cross-school collaboration & alignment
  • Work closely with the School Director to inform enrolment strategy, messaging, and market positioning.
  • Coordinate with academic, boarding, operations, and finance teams to ensure a consistent and professional experience for families.
  • Ensure all admissions and marketing activity complies with Head Office policies, brand standards, safeguarding requirements, and reporting frameworks.
Key success measures
  • Enrolments achieved versus target (including “additional students” linked to commission).
  • Conversion performance across the funnel (enquiry → tour → application → offer → enrolment).
  • Lead quality and effectiveness of marketing channels.
  • Response times and follow-up discipline.
  • Family experience feedback and professionalism indicators.

Person specification

Essential
  • Demonstrated success in admissions, consultative sales, or customer-facing roles with clear performance targets.
  • Confident and credible communicator, able to build trust quickly with families.
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable owning outcomes in a standalone role.
  • Data-literate, with the ability to track pipelines and use insights to improve performance.
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and commitment to safeguarding.
  • Fluent English speaker.
Desirable
  • Experience in an international school environment and/or working with internationally mobile families.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (e.g. Google Ads) and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp).
