Job Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies and annual marketing plans that drive market growth, brand visibility, and consumer engagement across multiple channels.
This role oversees the full spectrum of brand management activities, including strategic planning, budgeting, creative development, event execution, and performance analysis, in close collaboration with principals, sales, logistics, finance, and external agencies. The Brand Manager ensures brand consistency, effective promotional execution, and data-driven decision-making while maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders and aligning marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
Working closely with Sales, Finance, and senior management, the role plays a central part in strengthening brand equity, improving market execution, and supporting sustainable business growth.
This is a strategic and operational marketing role requiring a strong balance between analytical thinking, creativity, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement annual brand plans based on sales performance, market insights, and principal guidelines
- Plan and manage brand marketing activities across monthly, quarterly, and yearly timelines
- Act as main contact for principals regarding plans, budgets, reporting, and marketing initiatives
- Ensure strong product availability and execution standards across On Trade and Off Trade channels
Creative Marketing & Innovation
- Design impactful POS materials, value-added packs, and promotional packaging solutions
- Develop innovative promotions and brand activations to enhance consumer engagement
- Collaborate with creative and BTL agencies to deliver aligned campaigns
- Support digital, media, and PR initiatives to strengthen brand visibility
Budgeting, Financial Management & Administration
- Prepare and manage brand marketing budgets, track spending, and provide regular updates
- Coordinate trade marketing budgets with Sales and monitor ROI on activities
- Oversee purchase orders, invoices, accruals, and principal recharge documentation
- Generate budget reports and presentations for management and principals
Marketing Activities & Execution
- Plan and execute events, activations, and promotions from concept to completion
- Manage stock, production, and deployment of POS and marketing materials
- Ensure high-quality execution of campaigns with agencies and partners
- Conduct market visits and provide actionable recommendations for brand performance
Research, Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor sales, market trends, and competitor activity to inform brand strategy
- Prepare quarterly business reviews, monthly principal reports, and marketing performance insights
- Track brand presence, execution quality, and marketing ROI across channels
- Collaborate with research agencies to extract actionable consumer and market insights
Sales Support & Trade Collaboration
- Support trade marketing promotions and activations in line with brand strategy
- Participate in sales meetings, presenting marketing plans and campaign results
- Engage with key accounts and flagship partners to ensure marketing-sales alignment
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure consistent execution in the field
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with principals, agencies, and internal teams
- Align brand marketing activities with Sales and Logistics execution plans
- Participate in meetings and market visits to review performance and operational plans
- Facilitate internal knowledge sharing on brand initiatives and updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, or similar roles (FMCG, beverage, hospitality preferred)
- Proven ability to develop and execute brand strategies and integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Solid financial acumen including budgeting and cost tracking
- Proficiency in MS Office, marketing analytics tools, and CRM systems
- Fluency in English, proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Residence in Podgorica or surrounding area
